Surgery?
The surgery can work. But it is like all the other approaches discussed on this website. It requires a period of rest and avoidance of the aggravating activities. No matter what treatment you get for your tennis elbow, you will have to stop aggravating it for awhile. Many people don't take this seriously until after surgery. But if they took it seriously in the first place, they might have fixed the problem long ago, and avoided the risk and scar tissue of surgery. Again, the arm will be even weaker after surgery and there is a lengthy time away from work afterward.
As surgical approaches vary by region and with every individual surgeon, you would be best to discuss the options available in your area with your doctor or physical therapist.
